From Structured Niche to Creative Chaos: Embracing the Messy Freedom of Sharing It All

When I first decided to launch yet another project where I would inevitably share my ramblings and other musings amidst what I originally planned to be a structured, unfuckedaroundwith space, I thought I would conform to a very specific niche to keep my ever evolving multiple worlds separate from one another. There would be no intermingling of the chronic pelvic pain chatter with traumatic tales of almost getting turned into a lampshade or maybe more likely, human trafficked. For, I would not convolute what I was trying to do here by muddying the waters with sewage. I remained convinced that the content I chose to post could only be about the thing I wanted to get out there the most –professional articles to attract freelance opportunities. Because, duh. But after a few failed attempts, I remembered that self-policing this sort of creative endeavor defeats the entire purpose of having a platform on which to share said creative endeavors. And so, a better choice was made.

Going ahead, (should you choose to stay and hang out in my weird world), there will be no policing. There will be no concerns about going viral or not. No worries about whether what I’m posting is what the masses are interested in this week and no stressing if only one person reads the newest blog. I won’t stay away from the more taboo portions of my many lives and in turn, I will mix those tales with others that have nothing to do with anything on a professional level. If all goes to plan, it will be a fever dream of various subject matters as they pertain to how I’m feeling in the moment and maybe some more fine tuned pieces along the way. Because, let’s be real. It really is all up to me, innit?

So, welcome.

I’m glad we’re all here. For now, anyway. We should definitely schedule some emotional check-ins with each other after I’ve been at this for a few months to see if we’re still friends or not. I’d venture a healthy guess that we will either turn into lifelong “ride or dies” or fast mortal enemies. It’s a total crap shoot and this strange world shall be our oyster.
